WattWise AI – Privacy notice

1. Who we are
WattWise AI is run by Joao Jorge, CX Postal 556, 8550-152 Marmelete, Portugal. Email: teamaijj@mail.grokbot.com. For this website, for enquiries and for reports we prepare directly for you (for example the €29 solar savings check), we are the controller of your personal data.
2. The demo
The private demo (v0.1.3 and later demos built the same way) runs entirely in your browser. It uses no cookies, no analytics and no browser storage, and nothing you type or upload is sent to us or anyone else by the demo. The sample uses fictional figures about a fictional café (Sunridge Café (demo)).
3. This website
The website is hosted on a free Cloudflare Pages project named wattwise-ai. Like any host, Cloudflare, Inc. processes technical data (such as IP address and request details) to deliver and secure the site. We do not use cookies, analytics or advertising on this site.
4. When you email us
- What: your name, email address, business or home details and what you write. If you attach a bill or inverter totals for a paid report, that file may include names, addresses, meter identifiers (for example CPE or MPAN) and consumption figures.
- Why and legal basis: to answer you and to prepare or perform a contract (GDPR / UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)); otherwise our legitimate interest in replying to enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f)).
- How long: enquiry emails: 24 months from our last contact, then deleted, unless we must keep them longer by law (for example invoices). Bill uploads and working files for a paid report: deleted within 30 days after we deliver the report (or within 14 days after a free pilot ends), and we confirm deletion by email when you ask.
5. Paid reports we prepare for you
When you buy a done-for-you report or the €29 solar savings check from us directly, we are the controller. Please minimise what you send: prefer kWh and cost totals; blur names, addresses and meter numbers where you can. Consumption patterns can show when someone is usually at home — we treat them as personal data.
Do not send: special-category data (GDPR Art. 9), patient or clinical data, HR or salary files, card or bank details, or passwords. Clinics and similar businesses: premises electricity bills only.
6. Installer white-label (phase 2)
When a solar installer uses WattWise AI for its own customers, the installer is the controller and we are its processor, acting only on its instructions under a data processing agreement (Art. 28). See /legal/dpa/. If your data is in an installer's reports, contact that installer first; we will help it answer you.
7. Who we share data with
Only service providers that help us run the service, under contracts that protect your data:

We never sell your data. We do not use advertising networks. Where a provider is outside the EU/UK, we rely on an adequacy decision, EU SCCs, the UK IDTA or Addendum, or DPF certification.
8. AI disclosure
WattWise AI is an automated tool (EU AI Act Art. 50). The browser demo calculates reports from the numbers you enter, on your device, without a person writing them. Paid done-for-you reports are prepared from the figures you send us; any automated steps are disclosed on the order or report page. Reports can be incomplete and are estimates only — not written as personalised advice by a human energy adviser.
9. Your rights
You can ask for access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests (GDPR / UK GDPR Art. 15–21). Email teamaijj@mail.grokbot.com. We reply within one month.
You can complain to the CNPD (Portugal, www.cnpd.pt) or the ICO (UK, ico.org.uk).
10. Changes
We will update this page if things change and show the new date at the top.
